After watching the movie, Murderball, I was in an embarrassing sound out of shock. I was the person who would earthytimes pity people in wheelchairs. I was the person, who would offer help and ask stupid questions such as Do you need help getting into your machine? I was that embarrassing person. Murderball in reality opened my eyes to the innovation around me, and helped me to realize that these people cash in mavins chips their lives just as I do. After the first couple of seconds in the movie, I thought it was going to be a feel bad for us movie, the path they were showing the young man ever-changing his clothes. However, I was very incorrect. This movie did the exact opposite of that, and in incident showed how people with disabilities do not let the deterrent hinder their lives.
What affected me the most in this movie was some of the players stories, especially Zupans. He was not born with his disability; as a matter of fact he had lived most of his deportment without it. Not only did he have to learn to live with his disability, he had to forgive his best friend for doing it to him. Zupan, in my opinion, was one of the strongest characters in this movie. It really touched my heart when he was talk of the town to the people in the hospital. Explaining to them how he does not let his disability get in his way was awesome.
I no extended look at these guys with the thoughts that they must overcome this challenge to live. To them, it really isnt a challenge. As a matter of fact it is more of an adventure for these guys, and I truly respect them for the way they are living their lives.
Joe was also an inspiration to me. When he was slash from the US team, he did not give up. He fought on and went to coach for the Canada team. Despite what all the Americans said to him, he cute to live his dream and would do anything to do so. Looking at his house, I would have never had guess this man necessitate a wheelchair.
