I think this punishment for apply unreasonable force on a suspect is ridiculous. He should have faced a lot harsher sentence. If some different soul, not an officer, had pushed someone down the stairs. They would have faced flesh out charges. The officer should have faced the same punishment. He in like manner should have more self-control than to push someone down the stairs.
As for fixing the injustices that occur in sentencing/punishment, I fall apartt believe there is a focal point. The only way to fix sentencing to be equal for a certain plague across the board, no matter who the defendant is, is to draw up a list of crimes and punishment rules for each crime.
